Financial Support & Awards

The Crustacean Society provides travel support for early career and student participants presenting at TCS2019. Please visit the TCS website for more information about applications.

In addition, with the generous support of our local sponsors, the Organising Committee for TCS2019 will waive the registration fee of selected participants from developing countries and local postgraduate students. Details as follows.

In the spirit of providing fair academic opportunities, the Organising Committee for TCS2019 will waive the registration fee for up to sixteen (16) participants from developing countries who are presenting papers at TCS2019.

  • To be considered for the award, applicants must be affiliated with institutes located in our List of developing countries.
  • Applicants who wish to be considered for the support should apply in the relevant Financial Support section when submitting their abstracts on the abstract submission page.
  • Applicants will be informed of the results of their application in February 2019.

The Organising Committee for TCS2019 will waive the registration fee for thirty (30) local postgraduate students presenting papers at TCS2019.

  • To be considered for the award, applicants must be enrolled as a postgraduate student at tertiary institutes in the Hong Kong Special Administration Region.
  • Postgraduate students who wish to be considered for the award should apply in the relevant Financial Support section when submitting their abstracts on the abstract submission page.
  • Applicants will be informed of the results of their application in February 2019.

 

The Crustacean Society and the Organising Cimmittee for TCS2019 will present three (3) cash prizes each for the best student oral presentations and best poster presentations.

  • Students who wish to be considered for the best oral/poster presentations should apply to enter the competition in the Awards section when submitting their abstracts on the abstract submission page.
