Description:

The workshop is aimed at students and early-career scientists aspiring to publish in peer-reviewed journals, and delivers training on the skills and ‘tricks’ that make a manuscript appeal to reviewers and editors.

Prof. Peter Castro has been the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of Crustacean Biology since 2015. JCB is a peer-reviewed quarterly scientific journal.

He has himself, co-authored dozens of scientific papers and was co-editor of the Brachyura volumes of Treatise on Zoology: The Crustacea.

He is author of Marine Biology, a textbook explaining the complexities of the ocean and unifying its global integration with relation to humanity. The book is under its tenth edition and used extensively in university teaching courses around the world, with editions in seven languages. He is also author of Marine Science, a textbook for secondary schools.
